 At a recent forum hosted by SAWS, Representative Sondy Pope Roberts repeatedly stated she had a new school funding plan sitting on her desk in Madison 'that would never see the light of day' because of the Republican controlled Assembly. That prompted the Waukesha Taxpayers League to request a copy of the plan. In her response, she states that "Pursuant to State Statute 19.32 (2) the school funding plan referenced at the forum on May 31st isn't not subject to open records request law because it is not an official legislative draft, nor has it been introduced." We have a couple of questions for you Sondy. Do you have a plan or not? and if so, why not share it? We gave you the opportunity to share it publicly and you hide behind legal technicalities yet advocates bullying Republicans to get their school funding solutions and play childish games with other representatives because you didn't get your way. We know and now we can prove that this whole school funding plan is the Democratic Party's way of trying to win the 2008 elections (see 'the bully session for Republicans' above) and it's all about money--just how much you can take away from taxpayers and give to WEAC members.
